Job summary

A large, friendly surgery in Clacton is seeking an experienced practice respiratory nurse to join their team for approximately 29 hours per week. Responsibilities include assessing and treating patients with respiratory diseases, planning and implementing care, and offering health promotion advice. The ideal candidate will have current NMC registration and a compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care.

Qualifications

  • Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
  • Experience in supporting long-term conditions.
  • Knowledge of current issues in nursing and the NHS.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a specialist practitioner in respiratory disease assessment.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate patient care.

St James Surgery in Clacton are seeking an experienced practice respiratory nurse to join their team for approximately 29 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
  • Act as a specialist practitioner in the assessment and treatment of patients with respiratory disease (COPD, Interstitial Lung Disease and Bronchiectasis)
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate all aspects of patient care
  • Offer health promotion advice and support to patients with respiratory disease
About us

We are a large, friendly hardworking surgery with our main surgery located in Clacton and a branch in St Osyth. We are an EMIS Web practice with a patient list size of 15,200 patients.

Qualifications
  • Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
Experience
  • Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice.
  • Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions.
  • Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
