Overview

Practice Nurse opportunity for a Locum Full Time Contract based in Liverpool. The role is within a GP Practice with the aim to provide leadership to junior members of the Practice Nursing Team, in collaboration with the Nurse Lead and General Practitioners, to develop an effective, quality driven Practice Nurse Service. You will promote integrated nursing practice within the wider nursing team (Practice Nurses, District Nurses and Health Visitors) underpinned by the development of evidence based practice guidelines, for shared delivery of care to the whole practice population. You will help ensure clinical effectiveness by monitoring key quality markers relating to guidelines. You will attend to patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional, seeing and advising people regarding their continuing medical and nursing needs. These patients will have booked appointments but may also require extra or emergency care.

The role will be on an Agency Locum Contract.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to junior members of the Practice Nursing Team in collaboration with the Nurse Lead and General Practitioners.
  • Develop and maintain an effective, quality driven Practice Nurse Service.
  • Promote integrated nursing practice within the wider nursing team (Practice Nurses, District Nurses and Health Visitors).
  • Underpin care with evidence-based practice guidelines and monitor key quality markers to ensure clinical effectiveness.
  • See patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional; assess and advise on continuing medical and nursing needs.
  • Manage booked appointments and be prepared to see extra or emergency patients as required.

The role will be on an Agency Locum Contract.
