A fantastic opportunity has become available in Andover, Hampshire, for an experienced nurse to join a friendly, supportive, and forward-thinking team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys making a real difference in the community, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care.

The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated and approachable group of colleagues who work closely together to support one another and provide high-quality care to more than 11,000 patients in the local area. Regular support is built into the role, including bi-weekly meetings with the clinical lead, ensuring you always feel part of a connected and valued team.

Main Duties of the Role

  • Deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Undertake treatment room work, including chronic disease management (particularly asthma and COPD), immunisations, screening, and health promotion.
  • Contribute to setting and auditing standards of care.
  • Support the maintenance of a safe, therapeutic, and patient-focused environment.
  • Assist in developing and delivering health promotion programmes and screening clinics.
  • Ensure safe storage and administration of medicines and clinical equipment.
  • Provide advice and support to patients in person and via telephone.
  • Actively participate in team discussions to ensure best practice is maintained.

About You

  • Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Demonstrates evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experienced in primary care.
  • Able to adapt to a changing healthcare environment and implement improvements.
  • Strong clinical decision-making and critical thinking skills.
  • Awareness of local and national health policy.
  • Confident with IT systems (EmisWeb experience desirable) and basic use of Word, Excel, and email.
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and committed to delivering excellent care.

Requirements

  • Current UK NMC registration.
  • Primary care experience is essential.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.

Desirable

  • Qualifications in asthma and COPD care.
  • Independent Nurse Prescriber.
