A GP practice in Leyland is recruiting for a practice administrator. The role involves administrative support, managing patient referrals and insurance requests, and ensuring effective communication with patients and healthcare providers. Clayton Brook Surgery is excited to recruit an practice administrator to join our team. We would ideally like someone with experience in working in a GP practice and have a knowledge of our GP Clinical System EMIS Web. You must have excellent administration, customer service and typing / data entry skills. The contracted hours are 35 hours per week. You must be able to work under pressure and be flexible with working hours, as you may be asked to work overtime or vary the hours worked depending on circumstances as they arrive. Working hours are subject to change in light of any future changes within the practices. The successful candidate will be expected to work at our partner practice, Moss Side Medical Centre in Leyland, on occasions and therefore candidate mobility is expected.
Duties to include
Clayton Brook Surgery has a great cohesive team ethic and working environment. We have GP Partners, Salaried GP, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse, HCA, Medicines Co-ordinator, a Business Manager, Practice Manager, Operations Manager and a team of Receptionist / Administrators. We are also Training Practices with our Partners being GP Trainers / Educators.
The role of Administrator is a key role within our practice and we are looking forward to welcoming a new member to the team in what is an exciting time in General Practice
The role is to offer administrative assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Manage and process patient referrals, Insurance and SARs requests, support processing medical records and Safeguarding administration. Liaise with third party services or healthcare professionals in a courteous, efficient and effective way
Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary health care team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies.
