Overview
We are looking for a hands‑on
PPC Specialist to take true day‑to‑day ownership of paid search across three ecommerce brands.
This is not a role for someone who checks accounts once a week, runs experiments for the sake of it, or manages PPC as one of many clients. This role requires someone who is comfortable being accountable for PPC performance every single day.
You will primarily own Google Ads, with active responsibility for Bing Ads, and scope to support Meta advertising as the business evolves. You will be the only PPC specialist internally, working closely with the wider team and reporting directly to the Commercial Director.
This is a focused, commercially driven role for someone who wants responsibility, stability, and real impact on a part‑time basis.
About Us
The Displaysense Group is a multi‑brand ecommerce business operating across three Shopify stores :
- Displaysense
- Cobolt Furniture
- The Urban Mill
Our PPC environment is varied and commercially sensitive. We operate with a wide SKU range, significant margin variation, strong seasonality, and a mix of high‑ticket and low‑ticket products. Commercial priorities change frequently, and PPC plays a critical role in protecting margin while driving growth.
This is not a set and forget environment. PPC here requires close daily attention and a strong commercial mindset.
The Role
As PPC Growth Lead, you will own the day‑to‑day performance of paid media across all three brands.
Your job is not just running ads. Your job is controlling spend, protecting margin, prioritising categories, and ensuring nothing goes live without purpose.
You will operate within clearly defined commercial guardrails (budget limits, category priorities, margin thresholds). Once embedded, you will be trusted with genuine ownership and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Day‑to‑day management of Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max)
- Bing Ads
- Daily account check‑in across all live campaigns to ensure spend, ROAS, and priorities remain aligned
- Budget pacing and spend control across all three Shopify stores
- Ongoing keyword research, search term analysis, and negative keyword management
- Campaign builds, pauses, and changes agreed within defined commercial rules
- Performance Max structure oversight and ongoing hygiene
- Shopping feed understanding and collaboration with the wider team
- Early identification of risk and opportunity through daily performance monitoring
- Weekly written performance snapshot that is clear, concise, and commercially focused
- Monthly performance overview explaining what is working, what is not, and what comes next
- Close collaboration with internal teams to ensure PPC activity aligns with wider commercial priorities
- Meta advertising may be introduced in future and would be supported in collaboration with the wider team, but it is not the primary focus of the role today.
What Success Looks Like
- Within 30 days: Account structures reviewed and aligned to best practice
- Within 30 days: Clear understanding of products, margins, and commercial priorities
- Within 30 days: Early positive performance improvements without disruption
- Within 60 days: Marked improvement in efficiency and ROAS
- Within 60 days: Confident ownership of day‑to‑day PPC decisions
- Within 60 days: Reduced need for escalation or intervention
- Within 6 months: Consistent month‑on‑month PPC growth across all three brands
- Within 6 months: Spend fully under control with no surprises
- Within 6 months: Trusted, commercially useful reporting that informs wider business decisions
Who This Role Is For
- At least 3 years hands‑on experience managing Google Ads accounts independently
- Confident operating within complex ecommerce PPC environments
- Very comfortable with Google Ads and open to supporting additional paid channels (Bing today, Meta in future)
- Commercially minded and care about margin, not just platform metrics
- Organised, focused, and proactive rather than reactive
- Want to own one business properly, not juggle multiple client accounts
- Able to commute to Bishops Stortford and work mostly from our offices
This role would suit

Why Join Displaysense?
- Join a supportive, passionate team in a genuinely positive office environment
