Job summary

The Gorse Academies Trust in Morley seeks a highly organised Student Services, Welfare and Administration Officer to support attendance, wellbeing and day-to-day college operations. You will be the first point of contact for students, managing front-of-house duties, maintaining records and coordinating with safeguarding, SEND and pastoral colleagues to help students thrive.

• Experience of working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents/carers and colleagues.
• Calm, professional approach and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Commitment to promoting student wellbeing, attendance and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Promoting excellent attendance and punctuality across the college.
• Monitoring attendance, identifying concerns and working with students, parents/carers and staff to improve outcomes.
• Providing front-of-house support through the Student Services office.
• Supporting student welfare, first aid and medical needs.
• Maintaining accurate student records and administrative systems.
• Working closely with safeguarding, SEND and pastoral colleagues to provide coordinated support for students.
