Job summary

Leeds East Academy, part of White Rose Academies Trust in West Yorkshire, is seeking a proactive Student Welfare Officer to promote safety, welfare and wellbeing of students and support engagement in school life.

You will work closely with the Safeguarding Team and Attendance and Pastoral colleagues to identify and address barriers to learning, support vulnerable students, and ensure staff have the training to safeguard students effectively.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety, welfare and wellbeing of students and ensure they are supported to engage fully in school life.
• Work as part of the Safeguarding Team and closely with Attendance and Pastoral colleagues.
• Identify barriers to learning, support vulnerable students and help create a safe, inclusive environment.
• Coordinate health and safety processes, maintain compliance with relevant legislation and ensure staff have the necessary training.
