Job summary

Elliott Hudson College, part of The GORSE Academies Trust, is seeking a Post-16 Student Services, Welfare and Administration Officer. You will be the first point of contact for students, supporting attendance, welfare and administrative functions to help learners thrive both academically and personally.

The role emphasises high-quality student support, close collaboration with safeguarding and SEND teams, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents/carers and colleagues.
• A calm, professional approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A commitment to promoting student wellbeing, attendance and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Promoting excellent attendance and punctuality across the college.
• Monitoring attendance, identifying concerns and working with students, parents/carers and staff to improve outcomes.
• Providing front-of-house support through the Student Services office.
• Supporting student welfare, first aid and medical needs.
• Maintaining accurate student records and administrative systems.
• Working closely with safeguarding, SEND and pastoral colleagues to provide coordinated support for students.
