A large retail organization is looking for a Customer Delivery Porter to engage with customers and deliver items safely. The role requires good physical fitness and a commitment to great service. Successful candidates will complete a 13-week training program to qualify for installation work. The position is full-time with shifts across six days a week.
About the role: As a Customer Delivery Porter you'll be the face of the John Lewis & Partners brand. You'll maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety regulations in our customers’ homes. This non-driver role is a great opportunity for those looking to develop their career in one of our Customer Delivery Hubs. You will need to complete a 13-week Porter training programme and, once completed, you'll be able to successfully install products including wet connections, TV and Advanced Audio Installations. At the end of the 13 weeks you will be assessed on the above elements to obtain your Installer Porter qualification. If you join us from 5 October 2025, in addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 18:00 - 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium at a rate of £2.50 per hour, and any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract a Night Premium at a rate of £3.50 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
