• Experience operating large vehicles like HGVs or Tugmasters is essential.
• Previous exposure to port operations or similar logistics environments is advantageous.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and structured operational procedures.

Role

2 x Port Service Operative – Split Shifts

Location : Belfast port

Contract Type : Full-time / Permanent and Temp to perm contracts available

Shift Pattern : Split Shifts 2 on, 2 off

The start date for these role will be 6th January

Salary : £33,927 per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Driving a Tugmaster to transfer trailers on and off vessels safely and efficiently.
• Mooring and assisting in the loading / unloading of vessels on arrival.
• Traffic marshalling of freight and passenger vehicles for safe embarkation and disembarkation.
• Housekeeping of port areas and other routine duties as required.

Shift Details

🕒 Shift Details :

This role involves split shifts , typically covering the following times,

0400-1000 / 1600-22.00

2 on 2 off (40 hours per week) 7 days in 14

Flexibility is key.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience operating large vehicles such as HGVs, Tugmasters, or agricultural machinery. (Please note a HGV license is not required)
• Previous exposure to port operations or similar logistics environments is advantageous.
• Full driving license. (Max 6 points)
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and structured operational procedures.
