Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is hiring a Sales Assistant for our Blackpool branch. You’ll help trade customers at the counter, offer product advice and process orders, delivering friendly, practical service in a busy retail environment.

This full-time role runs 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri 07:00–17:00 and one in four Saturdays 08:00–12:00), with benefits including annual leave, a pension matched up to 9%, potential bonuses, enhanced parental leave and access to healthcare and

Qualifications

• Previous Face to Face sales and customer service experience is preferable.
• Some warehouse experience.
• The ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
• To be a team player who is happy to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch.
• Eagerness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter by understanding their specific needs and providing advice and product recommendations.
• Responding to customer enquiries via phone & email promptly and courteously, with a proactive attitude.
• Making outbound phone calls to previous customers to regain their business.
• Actively identifying and pursuing opportunities to drive sales within the branch, engaging both new and existing customers.
• General warehouse duties including booking incoming stock onto the system and putting it away and picking and packing customer orders which will involve manual handling heavy stock e.g. boilers, radiators, sinks and toilets.
