Job summary

A leading infrastructure company in the UK is seeking a Planning Manager to oversee the planning and execution of substation projects. You will be responsible for producing detailed programmes and trackers that ensure project milestones are met while collaborating with team members and stakeholders. The ideal candidate has experience in high voltage environments and managing teams, along with knowledge of NEC contracts and P6 Primavera. This role offers a competitive package between £80,000 and £90,000 plus benefits.

Planning Manager (Substations or Electrical transmissions)

Location: Southwest & South Wales

Package: £80,000 - £90,000 + benefits

You’ll be managing the production of robust and detailed programmes for all works associated with the design, procurement and construction phases of our substation projects, ensuring the team liaises with the Project/Construction Manager and Site Engineers to ensure that the programme keeps abreast of any changes.

You’ll be managing and coordinating the production of detailed trackers that can substantiate progress measurements on a regular basis and retain these for analysis on future bids.

Experience
  • Proven experience in planning major projects within a high voltage environment
  • Knowledge and experience with national grid substations
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience working with P6 Primavera
  • Experience with NEC contracts
  • A full UK Driving licence
  • Able to collaborate, influence and deal with people at all levels including Executive Directors
  • Proven track‑record of delivering change and implementing strategic initiatives
