Placements Officer (Redeployee Applicants Only)

Location: Tooting Campus – Fixed‑term, Full‑time. Salary: £34,610. Job reference: 718‑25.

City St George's, University of London, a joint institution of City, University of London and St George's, University of London, delivers a leading education and research experience. This role is part of the Education Operations team within Placement Administration.

Key responsibilities
  • Coordinate student placement placements and maintain accurate records.
  • Act as the first point of contact for students, academic staff and external placement providers.
  • Ensure compliance with professional requirements and internal policies.
  • Facilitate an excellent student experience through proactive support.
Required attributes
  • Experience in administrative roles, ideally within Higher Education or a comparable setting.
  • Understanding of placement processes, including liaising with external partners and supporting compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling data and documentation.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer‑focused approach to supporting students and stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems and databases, with confidence in producing reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Proactive and adaptable, able to work independently and as part of a team to solve problems and improve processes.
