Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Pipeline Civil Engineer to join the Pipe Technology Group in delivering major water infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally. You will apply advanced design methods, lead rehabilitation and trenchless initiatives, and liaise with multidisciplinary teams to drive safe, sustainable solutions.

You will contribute to proposals, produce technical reports, and engage with industry bodies to advance best practices in pipeline engineering.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, holding Chartered or Incorporated status (or actively working toward professional registration with the ICE, CIWEM, or equivalent body).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering across the full lifecycle of major pipeline projects.
• Oversee and execute technical deliverables including material selection and structural design of buried pipelines.
• Lead thrust restraint design and trenchless technologies assessments.
• Apply advanced pipeline analysis tools to evaluate rehabilitation options and asset life.
• Contribute to project proposals and produce high‑level technical reports.
• Support research initiatives with industry bodies such as UKWIR and CIRIA.
