Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Pipeline Civil Engineer to deliver critical water infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally. You will oversee technical deliverables including material selection, structural design of buried pipelines, and trenchless technologies throughout the project lifecycle.

You will bring Chartered or Incorporated status (or working toward) and a degree in Civil Engineering, with expertise in rehabilitation, trenchless design, and piping analysis software.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated status (or working toward ICE/CIWEM).
• Experience across pipeline disciplines: buried pipelines, trunk main design, materials.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation, trenchless design, failure assessments, or piping analysis software (CAESAR II).
• Strong proposal and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering across full lifecycle of major pipeline projects.
• Oversee deliverables: material selection, structural design, thrust restraint, trenchless technologies.
• Lead condition and failure assessments to extend asset life across networks.
• Contribute to project proposals and produce high-level technical reports.
• Support research initiatives with industry bodies (e.g., UKWIR, CIRIA).
