Job summary

Stantec in the UK invites a Pipeline Civil Engineer to deliver critical water infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally. You will oversee technical deliverables, from material selection to structural design of buried pipelines, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

You will apply advanced analysis tools, evaluate rehabilitation options, and lead condition assessments to extend asset life.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline with Chartered/ Incorporated status (ICE/CIWEM) or working toward registration.
• Proven experience in pipeline disciplines: buried pipelines design, thrust restraint, trunk main design.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation, trenchless design, failure assessments, and CAESAR II or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering across the full lifecycle of major pipeline projects.
• Oversee deliverables, including material selection, structural design, and trenchless solutions.
• Contribute to proposals and produce high‑level technical reports; liaise with clients and teams.
