A healthcare provider in Worcester is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to work per diem in inpatient settings. The role involves performing patient treatments per a therapist's direction, documenting treatments accurately, and working across various patient demographics. An Associate of Physical Therapy Assistant is required along with a state license. Candidates are also expected to report for vaccinations if mandated by law. At the direction of a Physical Therapist, performs patient treatments as indicated by the treatment plan. Documents treatments given, including frequent and objective measurements. Works with neonatal through geriatric patients with clinical competency. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
Performs selected tests and measurements as directed by the therapist; maintains documentation on all treatments; assures appropriate equipment performance before each use.
Required: Associate of Physical Therapy Assistant. Active U.S. military service members or veterans with any military service, training, or education verified and credited by an accredited PTA program is acceptable.
Preferred: 1 year experience.
Required: State License.
