Job summary

Boots is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centred service and expert medicines advice. You will coach the dispensary team, manage stock and ensure safe, ethical decision‑making in day-to-day pharmacy operations.

The role focuses on triage support, patient interaction, and maintaining high standards of care across the store pharmacy. Training will be provided if needed, with clear pathways for development within Boots.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Experience or potential to coach and lead a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to improve services for teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver outstanding patient care and use pharmacy systems effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Deliver services as required by store needs.
• Coach and inspire the pharmacy team to maintain high standards of care.
• Support patient triage and distribute prescription handouts.
• Make decisions that are legal, safe and ethical in the pharmacy.
• Manage stock, workload, orders, and handling of controlled drugs while ensuring safety.
