Job summary

Boots is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver outstanding patient-centred service. You will triage patients, provide expert medication advice and coach the dispensary team to maintain high standards of care. You will handle stock, orders and ensure safe handling of controlled drugs, while upholding regulatory requirements.

This role emphasizes leadership within the store pharmacy, development opportunities, and commitment to excellent patient care across the Boots community.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC/PSNI/PSI).
• Strong desire to coach and lead a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to improve team, customer and patient care.
• Ability to use pharmacy IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and services.
• Delivering services as required by store needs.
• Coaching and inspiring the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of care.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distribution of prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Managing stock replenishment, workload, order fulfilment and handling controlled drugs with patient safety in mind.
