Job summary

Boots is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centred service and provide expert technical guidance on medicines. You will support the pharmacy team, triage patients, and contribute to safe, compliant dispensing.

Ideal candidates are registered with the GPhC (or equivalent regulator) with strong communication and organisational skills, and a willingness to develop supervisory capabilities within a store environment. DBS/PVG checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Experience coaching and leading a dispensary team is desirable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to drive improvements for teams, customers and patients.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and services.
• Support store needs with a range of pharmacy services.
• Coach and inspire the pharmacy team to deliver high‑quality care.
• Assist with patient triage and distribution of prescription handouts.
• Make safe, legal, and ethical decisions in the pharmacy.
• Manage stock, orders, and controlled drugs while ensuring patient safety.
