Job summary

Boots in Reading is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centred care and support the pharmacy team with dispensing and medicines advice. You will triage patients, provide expert technical guidance, and help ensure safe, compliant dispensary operations.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Excited to coach and lead a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivated to improve patient care and service delivery.
• Capability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines and products.
• Deliver services according to store needs and patient care standards.
• Coach and inspire the pharmacy team to maintain high care levels.
• Assist with triage of patients and distribution of prescription handouts.
• Take ownership of safe, ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Manage stock replenishment, workload, orders, and controlled drugs handling.
