Job summary
Boots UK is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient‑centred care in store, triage patients, coach the pharmacy team and provide expert advice on medicines and products.
You must be registered with the relevant regulator (GPhC/PSNI/PSI), enjoy leading a dispensary, and have excellent communication and organisational skills. Training will be provided for checking capability and using our pharmacy systems.
Qualifications
- Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
- Strong coaching and leadership experience within a dispensary.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Desire to improve teams, customers and patients.
- Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines, products or Macmillan Cancer Support.
- Deliver services depending on store needs.
- Coach and inspire the pharmacy team to deliver high standards of care.
- Assist with triage of patients and distribution of prescription handouts.
- Take ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision‑making in the pharmacy.
- Manage stock, workload, orders, receiving and handling controlled drugs safely.
