Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Glasgow seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Technician to join their neurosciences pharmacy team. The role includes providing focused pharmaceutical care, documenting medication histories, and facilitating patient discharge processes. Applicants must be registered with the GPhC and hold an accredited technician qualification. This is a Band 5 position for 37 hours per week on a maternity leave cover fixed term for 8 months.

Qualifications

  • Registered with The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Accredited dispensary checking technician qualification (PDCT) required.
  • Significant post-qualification experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Be an integral member of the neurosciences pharmacy team.

Overview

Position

Queen Elizabeth University Hospital – Clinical Pharmacy Technician – Neurosciences, OMFS, Spinal

Band 5

37 hours per week

Maternity leave cover – 8 months fixed term

Responsibilities
  • Be an integral member of the neurosciences pharmacy team working as a Clinical Pharmacy Technician
  • Work closely with the neurosciences clinical pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high quality, patient focussed pharmaceutical care to patients within the INS
  • Obtain and document medication histories
  • Facilitate and streamline the discharge process
  • Liaise with GP practices, community pharmacists and the primary care team
Qualifications and training
  • Registered with The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Accredited dispensary checking technician qualification (PDCT)
  • Significant post-qualification experience and excellent communication skills
  • Suitable training will be provided to the successful applicant
Working pattern

Hours are Monday to Friday with participation in weekend and public holiday rotas.
