Job summary

Boots is seeking a pharmacist leader to coach a dispensary team and deliver exceptional patient care. You will provide expert advice on medicines, support store services, and ensure safe, ethical decision-making in daily operations.

The role emphasises strong communication, organisation, and collaboration with the pharmacy team to maintain high standards of service and patient safety across the store network.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC/PSNI/PSI).
• Experience as a Pharmacy Technician with checking capability preferred.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to coach and lead a dispensary team.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about medicines, products or Macmillan Cancer Support.
• Delivering services dependant on store needs.
• Building relationships with the pharmacy team and coaching them to deliver high-quality care.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distributing prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Manage operational tasks including stock replenishment, workload management and handling controlled drugs.
