MedicineManagement and Pharmacy Services are looking for an organised highlymotivated and enthusiastic Inventory Procurement officer.

Applicantsshould have experience of working in a professional purchasing environmentwith good time management skills to adapt to changing priorities in afast-paced environment.

Thisis a great opportunity for someone who has excellent communication skills andis committed to supporting high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be working atour Leeds Pharmaceutical Stores location on the outskirts of the city.

Asa key member of the Pharmacy Procurement Team you will play an essential rolein ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective procurement of medicinesand pharmaceutical products for Leeds Teaching Hospitals

Main duties of the job

WhatYoull be Doing

Working as part of a teamresponsible for ordering medicines and pharmaceutical supplies in line withTrust procedures and SOPs

Monitoring stock levels to ensurecontinuity of supply across all clinical areas

Managing outstanding orders. Liaising with suppliers and wholesalers toresolve supply issues. Sourcing alternatives where needed.

Supporting the Pharmacy team withstock management and shortages.

Providing excellent customerservice to clinical and non-clinical colleagues.

Job responsibilities

Towork as part of a specialised procurement team responsible for the purchasingof pharmaceutical products and maintaining efficient and accurate stocklevels at Leeds Pharmaceutical Store.Providing purchasing advice and guidance to other teams involved inorder and supply of medicines.

Weare looking for a candidate who can demonstrate excellent communication andinterpersonal skills, who possess analytical and problem solving skills

Thesuccessful candidate will already have experience of working in aprofessional purchasing environment and will be able to work independently oras part of a team. Ideally we will belooking for someone with purchasing qualifications or someone who is willingto study with the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS).

Experience
