Jollyes Pets in Dundee is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead on the shop floor, coach the team, and drive exceptional customer service. You will deputise for the Store Manager, manage KPIs, and help maximise turnover while maintaining high standards of pet care and store operations.

The role is full-time, requires a hands-on approach, and offers a competitive salary with bonus potential. A strong retail background and leadership abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for pets and people.
• Some previous retail supervisory or management experience.
• Commercially confident on the shop floor and able to upsell.
• Clear communicator who can motivate a team and support succession planning.
• Commercial awareness with interest in P&L management.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in leading the team day-to-day.
• Help run the store to maximise turnover and gross margin while controlling costs.
• Coach the team to spot opportunities and increase basket size.
• Ensure high standards of pet care, service, and store safety.
• Assist in recruitment, training, and development of the team.
• Provide clear communication of business updates and objectives.
• Be hands-on on the shop floor, with occasional regional cover.
