Jollyes Pets in Selby is seeking an energetic Store Manager to lead daily operations, coach a frontline team and drive sales while maintaining top pet-care standards. You’ll be hands-on on the shop floor, handle deliveries, and set the tone for exceptional customer experiences.

The role offers a clear progression path, a comprehensive benefits package, and a 40-hour week with some evenings and weekends. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity in a growing pet retailer.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail store team on the shop floor and driving KPIs.
• Ability to coach staff in upselling and value-add conversations.
• Strong decision-making to balance service, standards and costs.
• Proven track record of improving sales and profitability.
• Commercial awareness and people leadership skills.
• Own transport and a UK driving licence for regional cover.
• Full-time, permanent role with 40 hours/week and shift flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example to create an excellent culture and working environment.
• Run a successful store, manage KPIs for people, standards, service and finances.
• Grow sales by coaching the team to upsell and add-on services.
• Deliver outstanding pet care and customer experience.
• Recruit, train, develop and manage performance of the team.
• Communicate business updates clearly to the team.
• Be hands-on on the shop floor, still available to customers and deliveries.
• Occasionally cover regional needs, with week- to weekend shifts as required.
