Jollyes Pets in Tonbridge is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead on-floor operations, coach the team, and drive great customer service. You will support the Store Manager, manage deliveries, and uphold our values while creating an engaging store culture.

The role is hands-on and requires staying active on the shop floor, with occasional out-of-hours regional coverage. A passion for pets and people helps you excel in this leadership position.

Qualifikationen

• Some previous retail supervisory or management experience
• Commercially confident on the shop floor
• Has contributed to strong business performance and KPIs
• Commercially aware with interest in P&L management
• Own transport with a UK driving licence
• Full time, permanent role — 40 hours/week, 5 days out of 7

Aufgaben

• Supporting your Store Manager in leading the team day-to-day, deputising fully in their absence and helping create an excellent culture and working environment.
• Running a successful store—helping to manage KPIs around people, store standards, customer service, and financial performance.
• Helping build a strong sales culture in-store by coaching your team to spot opportunities to add value for customers.
• Ensuring you and your team deliver the highest standards of pet care with welfare as the top priority.
• Delivering exceptional customer service and a great shopping experience with strong product knowledge across the team.
• Supporting recruitment, motivation, training and development of your team, promoting Jollyes as an employer of choice locally.
• Sharing clear communication of key business updates and objectives.
• Genuinely hands-on, not office-based, helping with deliveries and walking the floor.
• Physically active role with heavy products as needed.
