A community support organization is seeking a compassionate individual to provide support for a young person with autism during outings and activities. The ideal candidate will help foster independence and friendship, with duties involving transportation and emotional support. While previous experience is not required, a genuine interest in assisting those with disabilities is essential. The role requires commitment for 2 hours every other Saturday.

To support a young person with autism to go out and about in the community. The service user has no safety awareness so support with this is needed. Previous experience with dealing with people with autism is advantageous.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The service user has no safety awareness. The individualits needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.
You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and/or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Specific days/times required:
Hours per week: 2 hours every other Saturday
