Job summary

An organization providing care services in Portstewart seeks a Personal Care Assistant to support adults with physical disabilities. Personal Care Assistant required for an adult with physical disability.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care Support - To assist the individual with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Daily Living Assistance - To support the individual household maintenance and daily tasks
  • Provide physical assistance and support with mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, or crutches
  • Monitor the individuals health status and report any changes or concerns to the employer or healthcare professionals
  • Assistance to health care appointments and to help facilitate communication between the individual and healthcare providers
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the individual by identifying and addressing potential hazards or risks in the environment
Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in healthcare, social work, or a related field preferable but not essential
  • Ability to work independently
  • Compassion and empathy towards individuals facing challenges or disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities
