Duties

• Deliver engaging sessions in Personal and Social Development to a caseload of unemployed learners, following Gateway and NCFE standards.
• Provide flexible delivery methods, differentiating and adapting quickly to learners’ needs.
• Train, assess, motivate and support learners to develop personal and social skills for the working world.
• Prepare and deliver sessions covering training needs, including reading and digital literacy.
• Utilise existing resources and prepare own when required.
• Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
• Engage and demonstrate energy and passion to motivate and train clients, helping learners realise their potential.
• Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Essential Criteria

• Hold or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET or equivalent).
• Experience delivering Personal Development and/or Employability.
• Hold a relevant vocational qualification at Level 2 or above.
• Hold a Maths and English Level 2 / equivalent.
• Demonstrate energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
• Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Show confidence, tenacity and the ability to work on own initiative.
