Job Description
Overview

Join a high-performing team within a leading UK infrastructure services provider. As Performance Manager, you will drive compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the Utilities (Water & Energy) sector. This hands-on role requires strong leadership, contract management experience, and the ability to influence teams and stakeholders. You will monitor performance through reporting tools such as Power BI, identify trends, implement corrective actions, and support digital transformation. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you'll champion best practice, mitigate risks, and help shape a culture of learning, innovation, and consistent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of compliance, governance, and operational consistency.
  • Monitor performance using Power BI and core systems; identify trends and drive corrective action.
  • Align operational performance with business objectives and client requirements.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across operational processes.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Champion innovation and digital tools to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Oversee reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Monitor contract performance and drive improvements where needed.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Collaborate with analysts to interpret data and enhance performance delivery.
  • Ensure all processes are documented, understood, and followed.
  • Produce regular performance reports for leaders and stakeholders.
  • Visit operational sites to support teams and review performance.
Qualifications
Criteria
  • Extensive experience in performance management, contract management, and client/contractor engagement.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting and data interpretation (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams, with a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Initiative and drive to identify and implement improvements.
  • Experience in process documentation and compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes; including Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
  • Experience working with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure services or related sectors.
  • Experience in managing multiple contracts and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with digital work management systems.
