Are you a confident, people centred HR professional who thrives in fast paced, operational environments? Our client, a major multi-site UK employer in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a hands‑on People Advisor to join one of their key sites. This is a highly visible, varied role where you will become the go to presence for colleagues and managers, helping shape an inclusive and engaging workplace culture.

As People Advisor, you will support around 350 colleagues, partnering closely with managers on employee relations, wellbeing, performance, absence management, coaching and day to day people matters. You will be the first point of contact for HR queries, provide guidance on policies and processes, maintain accurate people data, support onboarding, liaise with agencies and champion engagement activities such as surveys, awards and wellbeing initiatives.

The environment is fast paced and culturally diverse, requiring strong visibility, resilience and the confidence to build rapport across a multilingual workforce. The role is site based with regular floor presence and the ability to support peak trading periods. You will play a key part in maintaining an open, approachable and trusted People function while supporting managers to drive a positive colleague experience.

What we are looking for
  • Established HR or People Advisor experience with solid UK employment law knowledge
  • Proven HR experience in a fast paced, operational setting. Manufacturing, food production, logistics or FMCG preferred. We will also consider candidates with HR experience in hospitality or retail where the environment is equally fast paced
  • Confident supporting ER casework and coaching managers
  • Approachable, empathetic and comfortable in busy operational environments
  • Strong organisational skills with accuracy in documentation and data management
  • Someone proactive, visible and culturally aware who builds relationships with ease
