The role

As a Principal Associate, you'll advise on a wide range of pensions issues, including:

• Trustee and sponsor advisory work for schemes from small to multi‑billion pounds.
• Risk transfer exercises (buy‑ins, buy‑outs, and consolidations).
• Scheme mergers, wind‑ups, and restructurings.
• Benefit change exercises, liability management, and GMP equalisation.
• Investment issues and scheme documentation.

You'll also have the chance to raise your profile in the market, mentor junior lawyers, and play a key role in business development initiatives.

About you

We're looking for a qualified solicitor (6+ years' PQE) with:

• A strong track record advising trustees and employers on pensions matters.
• Experience leading on risk transfer projects and strategic pensions work.
• Excellent drafting, technical, and client relationship skills.
• A collaborative approach and proven ability to supervise and support junior lawyers.
• Commercial awareness and confidence in engaging with stakeholders across sectors.
