Job summary

Marsh is seeking Pensions Actuarial Consultants to join our team in the UK to provide high-quality support and advice to clients, ensuring scheme members receive their benefits as planned.

You will work in a team to develop customised advice for trustees and corporates, focusing on DB pension schemes and collaborating with colleagues across funding, investment, risk transfer and covenant to deliver optimal solutions.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and analytical, numerical and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage projects and allocate work to junior colleagues.
• Good understanding of UK pension schemes and actuarial approaches for pensions.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and presentations.
• Provide informed views on current topics based on client circumstances and tailor advice.
• Utilise strong technical actuarial skills to consult with clients on technical topics.
• Communicate with clients clearly and succinctly.
• Act as final technical reviewer for actuarial calculations.
• Agree strategy, direction and resourcing for client work.
• Supervise, appraise and mentor employees under supervision or provide informal feedback on client work.
• Participate in setting and negotiating fees and monitoring fee budgets.
