Job summary

As a Pensions Actuarial Consultant, you will work with colleagues across funding, investment, risk transfer and covenant to deliver tailored advice to trustees and corporates with a primary focus on defined benefit schemes.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified actuary with pensions experience.
• Strong communication, numerical and analytical skills for client consulting.
• Ability to manage projects and supervise junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and presentations.
• Provide informed views on current topics based on client circumstances.
• Utilise technical actuarial skills to consult on technical topics for pensions.
• Communicate with clients clearly and succinctly.
• Act as final technical reviewer for actuarial calculations.
• Agree strategy, direction and resourcing for client work.
• Supervise and mentor employees where applicable; provide feedback on client work.
• Participate in setting and negotiating fees and monitoring budgets.
