Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Senior Pensions Actuarial Consultant to join our nationwide team in the UK. You will deliver customised advisory services for DB pension schemes, engaging with trustees and corporates across funding, investment and risk transfer.

You’ll lead client meetings, review actuarial work, and shape strategy while mentoring juniors. The role emphasizes clear client communication, technical excellence, and active involvement in fee discussions, with hybrid work arrangements and ongoing

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Actuary / scheme Actuary.
• Excellent communication and strong analytical, numerical and critical thinking skills ( pensions ).
• Ability to manage projects and distribute work to juniors.
• Good understanding of UK pension schemes.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and presentations.
• Provide informed views on topics and tailor advice to client needs.
• Utilise actuarial skills to consult on technical topics.
• Communicate clearly with clients.
• Act as final technical reviewer for calculations.
• Set strategy, direction and resourcing for client work.
• Supervise and mentor colleagues and provide feedback.
• Participate in setting and negotiating fees and monitoring budgets.
