Job summary

Marsh seeks a Senior Pensions Actuarial Consultant to join our nationwide team. You will lead client engagements on defined benefit schemes, deliver customised advice across funding, investment and covenant, and act as a technical reviewer for complex calculations.

You will mentor colleagues, shape client strategy and help manage fees. A fully qualified actuary with strong communication and project-management skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified actuary with pensions expertise and strong client focus.
• Excellent communication, analytical and numerical skills for client advice.
• Ability to manage projects and coordinate work across junior colleagues.
• Good understanding of UK pension schemes and actuarial approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and presentations
• Provide informed, tailored advice based on client circumstances
• Utilise strong technical actuarial skills for client topics
• Communicate clearly with clients
• Act as final technical reviewer for actuarial calculations
• Agree strategy, direction and resourcing for client work
• Supervise, appraise and mentor staff as applicable
• Participate in setting and negotiating fees and monitor budgets
