Job summary

BHRUT is seeking a Rota Coordinator to support paediatrics, neonates and the children’s ED by planning, maintaining and distributing medical rotas, ensuring safe staffing and EWTD compliance. The role is full-time and on-site at Romford, with no hybrid options.

You will work closely with doctors, consultants and managers to manage rota changes, cover arrangements and workforce planning, helping to reduce locum expenditure while maintaining high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in an acute NHS hospital trust
• Experience using Healthroster
• Previous experience in medical staffing or equivalent role
• Understanding of HR policies and procedures such as - Medical & Dental terms and conditions
• Educated to GCSE/O’Level standard
• Evidence of on-going personal/professional development

Responsibilities

• Assist Clinical Director / Clinical Lead / General Manager / Service Manager in providing effective medical cover within the Directorate
• Maintain the medical staff, review the workload of the group and coordinate support
• Ensure adequate cover for annual leave, sickness within budgetary limits by recording absence of all medical staff and assisting in administering the sickness policy
• Alert General Manager and Clinical Lead when staff require interviews in line with the sickness policy
• Assist in workforce planning and rota management to optimise staffing and reduce locum expenditure
