An excellent opportunity has arisen for a passionate and motivated PE Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school on a long-term basis, starting immediately.

This role is ideal for a committed teacher who is enthusiastic about promoting physical education, teamwork and healthy lifestyles, while delivering engaging and inclusive lessons to students of varying abilities.

Key Responsibilities of the PE teacher

• Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach practical and theoretical aspects of Physical Education across relevant key stages
• Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment for all students
• Motivate and inspire pupils to achieve their full potential in sport and physical activity
• Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
• Contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures or enrichment activities where required
• Work collaboratively with the PE department and wider staff team
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be reliable, adaptable and committed to a long-term placement
• Have a genuine passion for sport, fitness and student development
