Payroll Process Improvement Manager

Join Barclays, a trusted global financial institution, as a Payroll Process Improvement Manager. This is a unique opportunity to lead strategic initiatives that further enhance payroll operations across the UK and Crown Dependencies. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of payroll delivery and driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead process improvement initiatives across UK and Crown Dependency payrolls, identifying and resolving inefficiencies.
  • Analyse historical payroll data, as part of our robust QA approach to ensure ongoing compliance; this includes National Minimum Wage.
  • Collaborate with Payroll SMEs and Change teams to implement sustainable solutions and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Enhance system functionality within Workday and ServiceNow, streamlining workflows and further reducing the risk of duplicate payments.
  • Influence senior stakeholders and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the payroll function.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in leading payroll process improvement initiatives within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret payroll data, identify risks and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Hands‑on experience with payroll systems such as Workday and ServiceNow.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a track record of driving change.
  • In‑depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation and policy.
