Payroll Assistant Manager – Top 60 Firm – London

Are you a Payroll Assistant Manager who enjoys managing a team? Do you want to work within a dynamic and growing accountancy practice?

Our client is arguably the West End’s premier accounting firm and a leading name in the music industry. A Top 60 accountancy firm with fantastic offices a short walk from Oxford Circus, the firm boasts a corporate client base with turnovers up to £100m as well as representing some of the most well-known names in the music, media, retail and hospitality sectors. A fun and vibrant place to work, this firm feels less like a firm of chartered accountants and more akin to a bustling West End creative business.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with supervision of the payroll team, ensuring an accurate quality service is delivered to clients
  • Review of team processing
  • First point of contact for the team’s technical queries
  • Run a small portfolio of clients, including managing new client set-ups
  • Identify areas where improvements can be made and put forward suitable recommendations towards changing the payroll procedure and team’s operation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and key client contacts
  • Assists with monitoring, supervising, and training new and existing team members
  • Support the Payroll Manager on project work
