Job summary

Picton Medical Centre in Manningham is seeking reception and care navigation staff to greet patients, book appointments, and direct people to the right service. The role includes handling prescriptions and coordinating home visit requests across two sites.

Part-time positions (25+ hours per week) Monday to Friday with morning or afternoon shifts, potentially up to 6:30pm, providing essential administrative support and upholding patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Five GCSEs including English and Maths.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Proficient with computerised records and systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors; manage arrivals and enquiries face-to-face and by phone.
• Book routine and same-day appointments on the practice system.
• Process prescription and home visit requests; prepare daily lists for pharmacist.
• Answer calls promptly and pass messages for action.
• Scan and code correspondence into SystmOne; maintain patient records.
• Liaise with duty doctor and other healthcare staff about queries.
• Provide general admin support and help with payments and documentation.
• Support services and contribute to QOF targets; promote online services.
• Keep reception tidy and transfer lines to out-of-hours provider.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with information governance.
