Job summary

Optical Express Group is seeking a Part-Time Patient Advisor in Shawlands to provide outstanding patient journeys and support to clinicians. You will engage with patients from first contact through post-operative follow-up, delivering high-end service and clear communication about treatment options.

In this role you will handle diagnostic scans, assist with consultations, manage bookings and payments, and contribute to achieving commercial KPIs in a luxury healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a patient-facing role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Proficient with digital and diagnostic technology.
• Experience in healthcare or premium retail is beneficial.
• Strong commercial awareness and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Support patients through all steps of the journey from initial contact to aftercare.
• Deliver warm, professional welcomes and manage first impressions.
• Capture diagnostic scans and explain features/benefits of technology.
• Assist in consultations with optometrists or surgeons, in-clinic or virtual.
• Close consultation, schedule surgery and aftercare, manage bookings and payments.
• Meet and strive to exceed personal KPIs.
