Job summary

Price's Mill Surgery in Nailsworth seeks two part-time Patient Co-ordinator to join the front desk team. You will direct patients to the correct service, book appointments and handle repeat prescriptions while delivering friendly, efficient customer service.

Flexibility is essential as roles include rotating Saturday mornings to support enhanced access clinics; prior reception experience and good IT skills are required to manage SystmOne tasks and patient queries with confidentiality.

Qualifications

GCSE level or equivalent required.
Experience in an office or reception role is desirable.

Responsibilities

Direct patients to the appropriate healthcare professional or service.
Answer calls professionally and prioritise urgent requests.
Book face-to-face and telephone appointments and triage questionnaires.
Process repeat prescription requests and queries.
Take messages and pass to clinicians via tasks.
Register patients, including temporary registrations and online access requests.
Deal with front desk enquiries and explain policies.
Use SystmOne and Anima platforms daily.
Maintain reception areas and carry out opening/closing duties.
Liaise with pharmacies and healthcare workers to support improvements.
