Overview

Join Our Team as a Pastry Technician! We are looking for Pastry Technicians to join our Pastry team. Starting salary is £13.10 per hour with an enhanced rate of £16.38 per hour. Enhanced rate is for hours between 20:00 and 06:00 and for hours over 37.5 per week.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 14:30, with 2 x 30 mins unpaid breaks. Start and finish times may occasionally change to meet the needs of the business so we are seeking people who can be a bit flexible regarding their hours.

Responsibilities
  • Mass producing two different types of pastry (French Puff and Rough Scotch).
  • Turning the pastry into pastry bases and various pastry cases for other departments.
  • Follow precise recipes to maintain quality standards and use large bakery equipment as required.
  • Maintain attention to detail to meet the standards of a diverse customer base.
  • Work in a fast-paced, physically active environment and be on your feet for the majority of your shift.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Flexible to start times and occasional changes to meet business needs.
  • Ability to work a physically demanding role with long periods on your feet.
  • Probationary period leading to certifications: Food Safety Level 2 and H&S Level 2 after probation.
