Job summary

An educational institution in the North East of England is seeking a Pastoral Tutor to join its Tutorial & Enrichment teams. Overview

Pastoral Tutor required to join a well-resourced College in the Tutorial & Enrichment teams in Hackney.

Salary: £110 - £140 per day (or per session as applicable) | Start: ASAP | Working days: Monday to Friday

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside teaching staff to provide pastoral support for learners to improve attendance, retention, achievement and encourage positive progression to enhance the quality of the learners' journey.
  • Deliver a prescribed tutorial curriculum through weekly group tutorial sessions to develop the learners' broader skills and knowledge.
  • Help contribute to learners’ social and emotional development.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar Pastoral Tutor role is preferential but not essential.
  • You will be a good role model able to elicit the best from developing youths to give them the qualities they need to flourish in society post college life.
  • Good communication skills are required and experience working with A level students and UCAS applications are essential.
