Pastoral Manager | Greenwich

The Pastoral Manager is a key role within our partner secondary school in Greenwich, responsible for the personal development, wellbeing, and welfare of pupils within their year group, ensuring every young person is supported to succeed academically and personally. You will be a proactive, organised, and adaptable professional who empowers pupils to maintain positive learning behaviours while developing independence and resilience.

Pastoral Manager Job Summary
  • Work closely with Form Tutors, Heads of Year, and the wider pastoral team to uphold high standards of attendance, behaviour, uniform, attitudes to learning, and outcomes across the year group.
  • Monitor and track pupil progress, attendance, punctuality, and behaviour, implementing effective interventions where concerns arise.
  • Provide targeted support for pupils whose behaviour, attendance, or engagement falls below the schools expectations, ensuring sustained improvement.
  • Oversee attendance and punctuality strategies, promoting accountability and aspiration across the year group.
  • Collaborate with the attendance team, safeguarding leads, and SENDCo to support vulnerable and SEND pupils in achieving strong attendance.
  • Maintain a visible presence across the school, promoting positive relationships and a strong culture of learning.
