Passenger Assistant – Temporary Role

Location: Various routes across Kirklees

Pay: £12.85 per hour

Hours: 25 - 30 hours per week

Contract Type: Temporary / Part-time

DBS Check: Enhanced + Barred List (Children & Adults)

We are seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our Passenger Transport Service as Passenger Assistants. This is a temporary opportunity to support children and young adults with special educational needs on their journeys to school or college.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist passengers with personal, physical, and medical needs.
  • Support drivers with safe boarding and disembarking.
  • Monitor vehicle quality and report concerns.
  • Liaise with parents, schools, colleges, and transport officers.
  • Administer emergency medication and first aid when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive medical information.

You may be required to work on any route within Kirklees and travel independently to meet vehicles at designated pickup points (travel costs not reimbursed). Flexibility is essential.
