Overview

The Afghanistan Partnership Manager will be responsible for grantmaking and grants management under Malala Fund’s Afghanistan Strategy. The Partnership Manager will award and manage a portfolio of grants on digital and alternative education pathways for girls excluded from the education system in Afghanistan, and advocacy initiatives focused on gender apartheid codification. As the primary point of contact for grantees in the Afghanistan grants portfolio, the Partnership Manager will lead on managing all aspects of the grants life cycle including suitable partner identification, grantee relationship management, support of successful programme delivery, reporting, and grant renewal or closeout. In addition, they will provide support to Malala Fund’s overall advocacy objectives and activities to challenge the ban on girls’ education and combat gender apartheid in Afghanistan.

Responsibilities
  • Grantmaking and grants management under Malala Fund’s Afghanistan Strategy.
  • Award and manage a portfolio of grants on digital and alternative education pathways for girls excluded from the education system in Afghanistan.
  • Lead all aspects of the grants life cycle: partner identification, grantee relationship management, programme delivery support, reporting, and grant renewal or closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for grantees in the Afghanistan grants portfolio.
  • Provide support to Malala Fund’s advocacy objectives and activities to challenge the ban on girls’ education and combat gender apartheid in Afghanistan.
